SP2.3 and perhaps 3.0 do not come back on automatically after a power failure. If the power goes off with a Brown-out of bad voltage or frequency, the PCB protects against damage not covered by warranty. The trouble has been for people near Quadra Island who experience coming home after a power failure and SunPump needs to be manually restarted at the breaker reset. It can be automated with two parts, a Timer and a Contactor, worth about $40, plus a 6-inch square enclosure.

This is a Power Control option that should be considered where blackouts happen multiple times per year. (not a warranty item).. If you live in a rural, heavily treed, or Island area that goes through wind storms, this option should be discussed with your Electrician.
